Cea de-a 87-a editie a Oscarurilor, programata pentru 22 februarie, se anunta una disputata. Nominalizarile la Premiile Oscar au fost facute joi, cateva filme regasindu-se la mai multe dintre cele 24 de categorii. Nominalizarile au fost anuntate in direct de la Teatrul Samuel Goldwyn din Beverly Hills.
Gala de peste o luna va avea loc la Teatrul Dolby din Los Angeles. Nominalizarile s-au stabilit prin vot incepand cu 29 decembrie 2014. Votul pentru desemnarea castigatorilor la gala premiilor Oscar va incepe in 6 februarie 2015 si se va incheia pe 17 februarie 2015.
Ceremonia Oscarurilor va incepe la ora locala 20.30 si va fi difuzata de postul de televiziune american ABC.
Anul trecut, „12 Years a Slave” a fost desemnat Cel mai bun film. Matthew McConaughey a plecat acasa cu statueta pentru Cel mai bun actor in rol principal, in timp ce Cate Blanchett a fost aleasa Cea mai buna actrita in rol principal.
